A gift for my great great grandchild, irrespective of whether we meet or whether they come into being. A beanie, gloves and booties for warmth, and a bear for comfort. I fear that the largest legacy which my generation will leave for the future will be the damage we have inflicted upon the environment as a byproduct of consumption and the convenience of disposable products.
I am attempting to give these bags a new life, as a chance to make amends for using them. Ironically, though the environmental impact the use of these plastic will be long lasting, the material structure of the plastic may degrade before these objects reach my great great grandchild’s generation.
